"I know first-hand how important a DFF can be. My mother didn't have one and she passed away from diabetic complications at the age of 41.  My four-year-old son, Jeffrey, and my trainer, Don (whom I refer to as “The Evil One”) are my DFFs because they give me inspiration to maintain a healthy lifestyle every day."

Many of us have a BFF (Best Friend Forever) that we look to for laughs, encouragement and support. But those with diabetes or pre-diabetes also need someone who can be a friend and understand a diabetic lifestyle. That’s what we call a DFF – Diabetes Friend Forever.

DFFs are friends, family members, caregivers and healthcare professionals who make a difference in the lives of those living with diabetes. They are teachers, counselors, coaches, and best friends to some of the 81 million Americans who have diabetes or pre-diabetes today.

To honor these unsung heroes, Dreamfields Pasta launched a first-of-its-kind program to pay tribute to the special people who help make living with diabetes a manageable experience.
